Meet Andy Levi, our Director of Embedded Systems Engineering. Andy enjoys applying embedded systems engineering principles to a wide variety of projects, and has learned quite a few important lessons throughout his career, including, “Don’t hesitate to question the status quo – the KISS principle is serious business!”

Andy’s early career began in electrical engineering, leading to the medical technology field, designing software for electrocardiographs, ICU ventilators and anesthesia machines. His career includes extensive work with GE Healthcare and Spacelabs Healthcare, where he collaborated closely with clinicians and contributed to the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation. Since 2019, Andy has been leading the Embedded Systems group at bb7 and managing projects – Andy finds great personal fulfillment in improving quality of life for patients through the contributions of his work.

Andy’s personal life is rich with family, music, and community. His wife is a math educator, and they have two children, a son in real estate management and a daughter who manages the dairy section of an organic farm. Passionate about music, Andy sings with an acapella chorus and quartet, and enjoys musicals and going to see plays. He also loves dogs, especially his new Bernedoodle, Pickles.

With a rich blend of professional and personal interests, Andy’s extensive knowledge leaves a lasting impact on his colleagues, clients, and the industry.
