This month, we celebrate creativity!

If necessity is the mother of invention, creativity is the mother of innovation. Creativity is the driving force behind ideation, problem-solving and decision-making – three fundamental aspects of product development.

The phrase, “Think outside the box” means to think differently or creatively. The ubiquitous cliché stems from management consultancies in the 1960s-1980s who used a classic box-shaped “Nine Dots Puzzle” to epitomize creative thinking. “Think outside the box” is a hint to the puzzle’s solutions. The puzzle is actually older than the adage – first appearing in 1914.
