Job Summary: The Human Resources & Accounting Manager is responsible for human resources functions such as payroll, benefits administration, onboarding & offboarding, and performance management as well as providing essential accounting in support of bb7’s business operations.  This generalist role works closely with Senior Leadership to ensure all HR & accounting laws, regulations, and compliance requirements are met while also recommending & implementing process improvements and best practices.  The HR & Accounting Manager collaborates with all departments & roles across the organization to support employee engagement, financial goals, and overall company success.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Benefits administration including new hire/open enrollments, coordination of benefit providers, and management reporting requests
  • Go-to for legal and compliance issues including labor laws, equal and civil rights, FMLA, FLSA, HIPPA, COBRA, ACA, unemployment compensation, workers compensation, and facilitate employee investigations
  • Manage full employee life cycle including hiring, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding
  • Maintain data integrity of bb7’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee records
  • Complete necessary state & national reporting requirements (BLS, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid, EEO, OSHA, ACA)


  • Payroll management including biweekly processing, documenting & integrating necessary changes related to or impacting employment, journal entries, and reporting
  • Management of month end closing process, ensuring accuracy and smooth handoff to external accounting partners
  • Management of cash flow and cash planning tools
  • Support of VP Finance and Operations in the execution of monthly financial reporting package
  • Oversight of accounts payable & receivable processes and personnel
  • Development and maintenance of financial dashboards & KPIs
  • Administration of bb7’s relationships with external financial vendors including auditors, tax preparers, and payroll partners


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or related field
  • 3+ years of human resources generalist experience
  • 3+ years accounting experience in private or public accounting working with clients under $100 million
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Understanding of employment & labor laws including FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA
  • Experience with maintaining a human resources information system (HRIS); Paylocity preferred
