We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Commercial Lead with extensive knowledge in the design, development and launch of medical devices. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment of innovation and has a passion for developing high quality products and processes. In this role you will work directly with the business unit director to identify new clients and generate new and sustainable business based on the business unit strategy and the overall company strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and meet annual revenue goal for the Medical Group
  • Identify target clients and opportunities based on strategic objective
  • Develop multi-level relationships with key clients & help nurture direct client relationships with key bb7 team members
  • Analyze sales, marketing, finance and other reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth with target clients
  • Own the knowledge of target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to expand our presence in these markets
  • Research and develop processes to better understand client strategies, technologies, and organizational approaches
  • Work with the Medical team to develop project objectives and budgets to ensure positive acceptance by the client
  • Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and regulatory standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
  • Effectively communicate bb7’s proposals to clients via in-person meetings, phone, and email
  • Build effective working relationships throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution preferred
  • 8+ years of technical service sales experience with a focus on the medical device market
  • Solid mix of commercial and leadership skills as well as ability to communicate easily at both the technical and non-technical level
  • Proven record of success selling innovative solutions with highly complex technical requirements
  • Demonstration of experience with relationship selling to high-level executives and entrepreneurs
  • Excellent written communication skills; strong verbal and presentation skills
  • Must thrive in a self-directed and fast-paced environment; proactive in anticipation of business needs
  • Medical device market knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
  • Understand client needs/requirements, formulate problem statement, and work with the technical team to write proposals
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) 25-40% of the time
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to troubleshoot problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working within product development consulting strongly preferred
  • Solid business, financial, and project management skills coupled with strategic planning experience
  • Knowledge of a broad range of manufacturing processes
  • Medical device manufacturing experience a plus
